Beaumont United Church

Beaumont United Sunday School Programs

Our children begin worshipping with the adults in the sanctuary, where they are involved in candle lighting, prayers, collecting the offering, singing and children's time for the first 20 to 30 minutes.  They then move into the Sunday School rooms.  Please note that the ages listed here are merely guidelines.  Parents are welcome to have their children join in the group with which they are most comfortable.    Depending on participation and volunteer committment, youth and family activities may also be planned for evenings and weekends.  Past programs have included skating, swimming, games nights, craft nights, rock climbing and confirmation.

Nursery:  Our youngest children are invited to spend some or all of the service time in our parent-supervised playroom, which is located adjacent to the sanctuary.

Primary Class:  Children in Kindergarten to Grade 4 participate in a Sunday School program generally based on the ideas from  "A Year's Worth of Children's Church". .  Discussion and/or a story are followed by a game, craft, drama, drawing, coloring or writing activity.

Intermediate Class:  Children in Grade 5 and up have a similar program to the one above, with the addition of some service projects (ie. sandwich making for Bissell Center, etc.).
